The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGS) program aims to attract and retain world-class doctoral students by supporting students who demonstrate both leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and/or humanities, natural sciences and/or engineering and health.

If you are a graduate student pursuing your final year of study at a Canadian university, you may be eligible to receive the prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS). The CGS is one of the most competitive scholarships in all of Canada. A total of 166 awards are available each year and are awarded based on merit. The CGS is valuable to international students because it not only offers financial support but also helps with immigration issues as well as provides networking opportunities for later employment opportunities after graduation.
